Awakening Records To Launch Talent Contest
Awakening Records is an Islamic record label, working with Islamic artists such as Maher Zain, Mesut Kurtis, Irfan Makki, and Hamza Namira. Now, it will be launching a talent contest to find its next star.
The Awakening Talent Contest will search for talented individuals who hope to make the world a better place with Islamic-oriented messages.
It will be a social-media powered contest and will be driven by an active audience, who will be able to use the #AwakeningStar hashtag on Twitter.
To take part in the contest, budding Muslim singers and songwriters are urged to record themselves singing a song by one of Awakening Records signed artists and then upload their cover on YouTube.
After being shortlisted by the public and a Judging Committee, 32 finalists will be selected and they will have the chance to earn a contract with the label.
Awakening Records was created in 2000. It produces faith-inspired music and also specialises in the production, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and promotion of sound recordings.

Is any one allowed to use any language other than Arabic in this contest?
