Prophet Noah (PBUH) Praying For His Parents

The Quran gives account of various important historical stories that are to be understood and used as an example.

In relation to the treatment of parents, the Quran tells of Prophet Noah’s (PBUH) actions and behavior towards his parents. Here, he prayed for his parents:

‘And Noah said… “O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrongdoers grant Thou no increase but in Perdition!” Quran: 71:26-28

What can we learn from his actions?

The Quran is full of tales, stories and events that everyone can learn from. Prophet Noah’s actions and manners towards his parents by praying for them to Allah (Swt) is a mark of respect, admiration and virtue.

Not only did Noah (PBUH) pray for his parents, but also for those who believed in the Message of Islam.

And so does Islam demand from us all. Kindness and good manners towards our parents.
