Islamic Relief Sends £1 Million Aid To Gaza
Gaza is at the centre of the storm as tensions have increased due to violence between Israel and Gaza-based groups, which has left countless people killed in the region.
Islamic charities are rushing to aid those afflicted by the violence, Gaza in particular.
Islamic Relief has already sent £1 million worth of medical supplies including drugs and vital surgical equipment to hospitals in Gaza.
The violence started after Israel killed the head of Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Ahmed Jaabari, in an air strike. It later said the strikes were only “the beginning” of an offensive targeting Gaza fighters and warned it may expand its activity in the Gaza region.
The Israeli onslaught on Gaza has gained widespread international condemnation.
More aid is being delivered by other charities working to help alleviate the situation.
