Riders Of Shaam: Muslims Cycle 350 Miles For Charity
A group of Muslim students have cycled from the British city of Leicester to the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris all for charity.
The challenge was taken on by the Riders of Shaam, a group collective of De Montfort University students, who come together on a yearly basis to organise charity cycle events for emergency appeals made by charities.
Funds raised have now gone to buy urgently needed medical supplies and provide counselling for traumatised children, helping to rebuild lives.
Some of the cyclists, also part of the De Montfort University Islamic Society (DMU ISOC), trained for their six-day journey beforehand.
They cycled 13 miles to Loughborough and back to Leicester totalling around 26 miles.
They also held training sessions around Leicester, a cycle ride to Nottingham and back, and Rutland Waters.
