Muslims Send Condolences To U.S. Ambassador’s Family
The United States Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens, was wrongfully killed on September 11, 2012. The Islamic non-profit organization named Celebrate Mercy is urging people to help bridge divides through positive means.
‘By killing an innocent man (and others with him) who had nothing to do with this film, they did more to offend the Prophet Muhammad than this film could have ever done. Their actions go against the mercy, love, patience, and justice he embodied on a daily basis.’
So to help bridge divides, Celebrate Mercy are urging fellow Muslims to send their condolences to the family of the Ambassador through email messages.
‘The MercyMail campaign by Celebrate Mercy is asking those who love and respect the Prophet Muhammad to not allow his name to be associated with injustice and senseless murder. We will counter these disgusting crimes with a Prophetic act of mercy.’
Update: Over 3,000 letters have been sent in the first two days.
